Cub Scouts meet on Monday evenings from 7 to 8:30 pm except during school holidays. The trained Cub Scout Leader (Akela) and assistants ensure the Cub Scouts work well together and challenge themselves to do their best, while also meeting the development program goals for the week.
Cub Scouts have a lot of fun doing a lot of interesting things! Each week you'll get together with other boys and girls and be led into adventure! There are games to play, codes and skills to learn, places to see and new friends to meet. Cub Scouts all help each other, and try to help other people too.
The leaders encourage the Cubs to use their imaginations and foster their creative and mental abilities. Cub Scout meetings are full of energy and fun and our Cubs go home with the confidence and the abilities to face whatever challenges or goals they set for themselves.
You'll wear the National Cub Scout uniform to show you're one of us. And you'll be able to earn special badges to put on your uniform to show your achievements.
Cub Scouts get to see a lot and do a lot. We spend weekends away together camping and exploring. We go to sports meetings, visit factories, go to the zoo, the museum, or the fire station. We learn bushcraft, and we learn how to fly model aeroplanes, even fly in real planes! There's a lot more Cub Scouts do too. Why not come along and find out?
